Post LAN

Postby reecetherocker » Mon Oct 17, 2016 12:17 am

Hi everybody,

Now I don't know about everybody but I had a really great LAN this year and despite it being only my second SaltLAN I still had high hopes and it delivered spectacularly.

Here is a little list of positives and negatives that I found about this LAN:

Positives -
It was great fun
Friendly people
Good atmosphere
Intense competitions
Amazing prizes
Bloodtobleed saving my life by lending me his mouse mat
The projector was used a lot better this time

Negatives-
Competitions didn't seem as well arranged this time
A lot less enthusiasm for the competitions
THE FUCKING BASS WAS FUCKING RAWWWW

Overall I had such an amazing time and I can't wait until the next on, so hopefully I will see you all there in the new year.
Till then though have a spooky Halloween, an explosive bonfire night, a merry Christmas and a happy new year!

P.S. I am sorry if I annoyed anyone by handing out business cards but I was sort of here on a business trip but I understand you went to it to get away from work and the last thing I wanted to do was to bring more of it back into the work safe haven that is WestLAN.

I LOVE LAN!!!!

Positives:
Great company (as always)
Free food
I won a game!
Fab prizes (thank you Evie)
The shoutout shenanigans XD

Sad face:
I think I left my kettle lead behind and had to buy a new one today :P
Fewer planned games than normal - I'm all for shouting at people to set stuff up but the big "whole-LAN-joins-in" games are impossible for even an Egg to orchestrate

Anyway, thank you to the staff for all your hard work again :) Hope to see you all soon!
Love Egg xxx

Pretty sure I found that one directly where you were sat after moving the tables. I put it in the LAN box of generic cables and you're welcome to it next LAN if you want it :)

Thanks! I've just parted with... wait for it... £10 for a new one today though! XD Just keep it as a communal one in case people forget it next time.

Here we go.

Positives -
CS:GO tournament - as it was a good laugh
Winning a T-shirt in the random draw :)
Mount your friend's tournament - Glad 16 odd punters signed up for this.
Overwatch got played a few times
Free cake

Negatives-
Apart from headset not accepting any charge. Many thanks to Alienx for letting me borrow his spare.

Looking good to attend SaltLAN 41 and SaltLAN 42 next year, hope to see you all there.
