Is it LANable?

I took a look at that, it's essentially a CS1.6 mod but wrapped up in their own way. It doesn't appear lannable as nexon have changed the files around a fair bit.

It's good silly fun, but I'm sure there's plenty of other mods that would be simpler to get going. I'm game for a few HL/HL2 mods. Science & Industry is one I'd like.

I'm playing this tonight for the first time in about 2 years, it's had a lot of updates. It could be a candidate, I will return with updates.

Looks like there are more updates to come as well: https://www.facebook.com/GoldenEyeSource

The nostalgia is real.

Goldeneye Source is fucking awesome, we need to get that on the go. I remember the day it was released, I was up waiting for it. As soon as it went live, every mirror was immediately swamped with download requests and crashed. Took about 6 hours to get the game :)

Back after a few hours of goldeneye source gameplay.

Very true to the original even down to the controls (holding shift to show aim/crosshair).
The maps are absolutely fantastic, probably the highlight of my experience playing.
I can certainly see the competitive gameplay and map exploration being entertaining for a few hours of casual play, but beyond that, the repetition and lack of online players makes it difficult to have fun.
Perfect for a couple hours at a LAN though!

IN OTHER NEWS

Enemy territory legacy now makes Wolfenstein:ET bearable on modern PCs. I was a big fan of this game back in the day.

Random thought: You know how we do gungame with a whole load of weird bizarro maps? Can we get a CS/HL2DM server that just rotates through all the stock maps? Just so we don't end up playing the same ones.

WolfET would be good to mix things up a bit, there's a bit of learning to be done, but it's fairly point and shoot.

It would be cool if someone could setup a CS:GO arms race dedicated server with some of the arms race community maps on rotation.

Double Action is free on steam, which is supposedly like Action Half-life, and it's still source based so I'm assuming it's lan workable. I've just started downloading it so I'll see when it's done.

edit: Yep, it's got a server. It's a stand alone source mod.

I've got 4 spare copies of Risk of Rain free to good homes, first come, first served. I'd post the links, but I wouldn't be surprised if they got scooped by bots.

So, if we were to run a UT4alpha server, what platform would we be looking at? Windows or linux?

New Planetary Annihilation patch now has LAN mode. Just sayin'.
