The hall has an 8mb line if memory serves me right, however, you will have the rest of the hall using it as well. Also, I think downloading games at WL is punishable by death.

The hall has far more than 8Mb, however even and ADSL2+ line can quickly get jammed up with 60 people are trying to hammer down 2gb of steam updates at the same time. So long story short no you cannot download games from the internet at the LAN.

We could see if the UT4 pre-alpha is fun to test. They do weekly builds (still listing last week's build as of writing this), so it might mean using a previous week's build for the lan.
