To early to talk games?

Random suggestion that'll get no traction - Get everyone playing starcraft2 custom maps

"But I don't own SC2! I suck at RTS" I hear you cry. No problem, the starter edition is free and gets you access to all the weird custom maps that don't yell at you about needing additional pylons. And if you are Korean you can play with someone who does have it, spawn copies like it's 1998.

Hey Freelance, StarCraft 2 of course is a great game, and your idea of spawning is sensible, but unfortunately all network traffic for sc2 is passed of the public internet connection, which means games are very slow and laggy. :(

I wonder if there's a compilation of great WC3/TFT custom maps, besides Dota and numerous TD clones and variants.

Yep, afaik this was made by one bloke. Hopefully, a new publisher has the might to get internet MP added. This would be an awesome LAN game though.

Last LAN I attended was the winter one last year where you guys had record attendance. I played SC2 for 90% of my time there and had 0 issues with LAG. It really can work very well on potatoNET. I would also be up for some SC2 games / arcade action :)

If you want to play some SC2 over the net with me feel free to add me, I am on it lots (most days) even though I am supposed to have 'retired' these days.. old habits die hard.

Always up for some messing around, and I love when Koreans shout at me to make more pylons!

My Terran is good I guess (Master) and my Zerg and Protoss are average (Diamond)
I like to make marines.

Some Dawn of War (1or2 etc..) would be cool since they have gotten rid of the games for windows live rubbish from it now...
I think it uses steamworks for multiplayer now :)

I saw these being played at the last lan:

    Left4Dead2
    Counter Strike
    CS:GO
    Team Fortress 2
    TrackMania Nations (which is free)
TrackMania 2 Canyon & TrackMania 2 Stadium (paid versions, so there were less people playing)
    PayDay (various versions)
    Killing Floor
    Unreal Tournament ('99 edition)
nidhogg (a Tournament on the Projector - thanks Psymon!)

Please feel free to add/adjust this list as you feel appropriate.
