You best just go to i-series then. Dreamhack is amazing, there is nothing like it anywhere else. You don't even need to take a gaming computer, because there's so much to do and see there anyway. I would argue that you could do it for less than £350 if you really skimped out, you could fly direct to Jonkoping and therefore avoid the cost of accommodation and a train in Stockholm, saving you a great amount of money.

Worryingly I actually just looked at flights over that weekend to see if I could do Friday - Sunday. Not looking feasible still...

It's possible but it's a change over in Stockholm and it's expensive compared to flying direct to Stockholm and getting the train. €114 from DUB, €97 from LHR for Stockholm flights versus €460 DUB or €329 from LHR to Jonkoping.

Was a quick look using Skyscanner, dates were first week in Feb if anyone wants to compare or find cheaper.

i looked at flying in to Jonkoping last year when myself and Alien went over just for dreamhack.
Its sadly rather expensive and not really that suitable due to travel times and such. you are better off flying direct to Stockholm and just jumping on a train. staying over in Stockholm the night before as we did is also a good idea.

Flying in to Gothernburg would be better as its a shorter flight and a lot closer to Jonkoping but flights seem to be about twice the price.
