That's great Jani, would you mind uploading a large format version of the logo for the YouTube banner page? http://www.westlan.co.uk/resources/images/westlanlogo.png

The photo that you uploaded is too small! It must be at least 2048 pixels wide and 1152 pixels tall.

That was an incredible game, and shows why we should play it again!

What's everyone's feeling towards CS:GO? Seems to have gotten crazy popular recently (check steam stats). Would like to give it another go during the lan. 5v5 elimination tourney during the lan could be fun. Easy to do with the built in tourney mode as well.

Always up for CS:GO, Source has got some decent mods and stuff with it, but GO is pretty much the standard these days (plus the actual gun play is more like 1.6). Hell it's even got a built-in gun game & deathmatch.

Hi can you do a BF1942 server that works with the free origin copy. With say 32 bots that drop as players join? And 20 min rotations. thanks

Servers Setup Currently:

  • Counter-Strike: Source Vanilla Server (64 Man)
  • Counter-Strike: Source GunGame Turbo Server (64 Man)
  • 3x Half Life 2: Deathmatch Servers (16 Man Each)
  • UT2004 RPG Server (32 Man - I think)
  • UT2004 Vanilla Servers (32 Man - A Selection)
  • 2x Team Fortress 2: Payload Servers (32 Man Each - Host your own MVM Servers)
  • Renegade-X Server (40 Man)
  • Quake III Arena Server (32 Man - I think)

Working On Currently:
  • Counter-Strike: Source GunGame Random Weapons Server (64 Man)
  • Counter-Strike: Source Hide 'n' Seek Server (64 Man)
  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Server

Problems:
- Currently, HL2DM only supports 16 players, all of the old hacks or .dll/.so re-writes no longer work - I can see 32 man HL2DM servers on the internet list, but i have no idea where they got their modified binary from.

Try harder. :)

That is immense, nice one Alien ;)

I've just got mappacks for you, and for christ sake, need to take dm_overwatch and dm_lockdown out of the map cycle!

Okay mate, just send them over when we get the LAN setup tomorrow, easier.
Also - I forgot to mention, all of the Valve based servers and the Q3A server is now on Ubuntu, yay for performance!

CS:S DM hard to set up? Just I still think CS:S Surf is better than CS:GO surf, and DM means people that aren't that great at surfing... don't have such a big issue :P

Some of the surf maps are a little lame with their jails/fall to deathness, imo all maps should have have teleport on fall, whether to a jail (which can with time be escaped) or just back to spawn I don't mind, but falling to death really fails :)
