Hello!

Just wanted to check.. do we need to bring out own Ethernet cables or are they supplied.

4 days to go!

Also just as a heads up I dont know if it really matters but myself, Ben Manning and Matt Garland wont be arriving until 9.30-10pm on the Friday because of work... hope that's ok!

Being late is totally fine. Just knock on the door in the car park as it will most likely be shut by then. Or run around through the main door and get one of us to open it. :)

You get issued with two ends, and a length of Cat5. (not utp thats the good stuff)

you have one chance to make it properly. if you fail you have to leave.

I keep pondering giving interviewees a choice of crimping an 8P8C or wiring a BS1363 as part of a job interview. Silly task, but you get an idea of how well they multitask / how meticulous the person is.

2" of stripped cable out the end = no job!

Also, 802.1Q or 802.1q and why :twisted:

Making up cat5 cables is the most frustrating thing ever for me, being colourblind :(

It is a silly task. If you asked me to do that in a job interview I would walk out. It does not show that I am capable of multitasking nor how meticulous I am.
