neon wrote:Agreed, the USB Xbox controllers are pretty good and supported by most games (required for some games). I bought mine from Kustom a year or two back. The wired ones are out of stock, but the wireless are available. It seems the only downside to the wireless controllers is the lack of a laptop friendly usb dongle.

Protip: get an official wireless dongle. The drivers are a nightmare otherwise.

Better still just buy the wired from amazon. Nothing beats plug and play, no batteries either.

I was fooled by the Play 'n' Charge kit from GAME when i first bought my Wireless XBox Controller.

I assumed that it meant i could convert my controller to a wired one - but nooo - it just means u can still play using the wireless while charging it.

Still, useful as it has a battpack on it now and its easily chargeable :)

Graham - will you be getting any wired xbox controllers in?

It's a pain in the rear end for me to wait for deliveries, so it would be nice to save myself some trouble - and buy things in exchange for your support!

Wireless - ack, I avoid, I don't need to carry yet another thing which needs a charger!

Xbox controller is the way to go - If I remember correctly, that was one of the Batman games basically supported keys, or Xbox pad. Any other pad and it just wasn't having it. Should have the wired pads replenished during the coming week. I've left myself a reminder to post back here when they are available again (or I can PM or email anyone after one if preferred)

I got one of these for my birthday last year. It's easily the best pad I've had for the PC. Nearly all games are configured for it too.

I thought they were consumed by SteelSeries.

Neo, there's a shop in the Harlequinns in Exeter that sells American Candy. Its up near Panasonic.

Charleston Chew - those are just awesome. Nerds products are always popular for us - we might not have the boxed Nerds back in stock before your event, but have the Nerds Rope varieties okay. The Lucky Charms and Golden Grahams cereal bars are nice too.

Everglide - hmm, not sure. I know the UK site was run by a reseller rather than the manufacturer themselves, there still is a German .de site that looks to be operating but the .com site is gone. We used to get Everglide plastic mats (Giganta I think?) with our logo and website printed on them about 10 years ago to include with systems. Still got one here... somewhere...

Yep. No minimum purchase or anything like that.

Everything that's requested from people to go to a LAN event goes in one courier shipment anyway, so it's no problem to us - rather, we'd love to have even a small order from you over none at all :)

Hi Graeme,

Any chance of getting any of the Cooler Master QuickFire mechanical keyboards in for delivery to this LAN?
