Travel Money

Postby Merson » Tue Nov 06, 2012 3:55 pm

What's everyone doing? Getting any foreign currency is a massive pain in the arse here so i think ill be going down the credit card in the atm route. I save a tenner from the best travel money rates online doing it that way. No fees either.

Saga are by far the best deal on travel money again so I'm gonna get £350 and if I need any more than that I'll put it on your card Merson

haha AlienX, that video was funny in heinsight ;)

I don't really budget travel money for holidays, I go on the premise of spending: as much as you need to have a good time. £350 seems perfectly sensible, but I'll be armed with VISA Debit and VISA Credit Cards as a precaution

Not particularly. they currently have the same rate as travelex, which you can order to pickup at the airport - which saves you having to go out of your way to collect a delivery by mail or visit banks / post office.

Credit Card rate: 10.724
Best Cash rate: 10.376

With no CC fees that's the best option for me. Il just take a hundred Euros and VISA cards as emergency money.

It is delivered by special delivery, so unless you would class answering the front door and signing a PDA as "out of your way" I'd say it's fairly easy
