Stick to that flight time out. That's what I'm planning my flights to.

There are many flights for similar prices. Check out skyscanner.net - really good for checking prices. We can wait a little while longer, Merson's friend and Jani have not confirmed yet.

Just an FYI. Myself, Lee and Richard (My friend) are all paid by Ulster bank aka RBS. So if you watch the news means we haven't been paid this month due to an IT failure. So far there a week late which looks like its going to be delayed even further (next Monday from what I heard).

Obviously because of this I'm not going to be in a position to pay for flights until at the very earliest the middle/end of next week which is tbh the time we will be buying them anyway.

For anyone interested, it was the upgrade of the CA-7 scheduler on on a IBM System Z mainframe that caused the outage, the initial problem has been fixed. The ongoing problems are due to an immense backlog of payments.

Cause, perhaps. Root cause, probably not.
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/06/28 ... re_glitch/ is a rather decent read on the subject.
Having worked in the outsource industry, everything they're saying here is pretty believable.

Some rather interesting comments as well, RBS scurrying to cover their arse
