They done the same thing last year as well. It's also technically out, anyone can pay for full access to the game.

Yeah it is kind of ridiculous how much of a following it has even thought it's still technically in Beta, understandable though it is brilliant.

How far North are you? TFF are pretty good. Based just outside of Barnsley.
