I've got to mention Tribes: Ascend, it just seems like a game that would be silly not to play at a LAN event. I've loved previous Tribes games, and I'm so god damn excited for my download to finish.

It's only in Beta at the moment, but there's still a decent amount of content, it's piss easy to get a key (litterally just sign up on their website and get a key within a day), and it's only 2.5GB.

And the servers are on the net, so not appropriate for a LAN. There's an option for 'custom servers', but it's greyed out for the moment, so I assume custom hosted servers are a possibility.

Yes Tribes is closed beta atm.

COD MW3 has a free weekend coming up. How well does it support LANs?

Hopefully well, as it's a 14gb download!
