Struggling with halls a bit at the moment - it only takes one birthday party for 3 hours on a saturday afternoon to stop us getting a date, We have 3 dates booked but the first is in may. We're trying to organise an extra date in another hall at the moment

May = fail.

They'd really take a birthday booking over a Westlan one? Surely they are going to make hell of a lot more money for a 2.5 day event than a 3 hour one?

Maybe try getting a venue in Plymouth as a stop gap? :D

To an extent, but don't forget its a community hall still, so birthday bookings and salsa dancing are sort of things they want going on in the hall too, its not purely finance. Its also first come first served. We normally get in as soon as the new diary is there, but for whatever reason this year bookings seem to have got in ahead of us.

we don't have the flexability for the hall dates... the ones we have at the moment are the only available.

Might just come up for this :)

Corse, it would be even easier if you based it at Truro College during the holidays :mrgreen:

Any ideas of date yet?

westlan is a highley established lan at one of 2 halls, lympstone, which i belive wont be being used again (because the lan has grown to too many people) or budleigh salterton, alot of planning is done by the staff to ensure we all have fun, and the network stays up, and the power is distrubted, of course if your in the corner with the pink pc then you still manage to fuck up the power anyway!!

dont think about coming, just come, i wont be there though, i dont think
