hi guys,

iv currently got flu and been ill since sunday and off work.

id really not like you guys to get it as it looks like im not going to be fully better by friday and even if i am, im still gonna be a flu carrier :(

FAO Staff: can i rather than requesting a refund, carry the attendance fee into the next LAN instead?

if its of the swine type.. typically it seems to be around 5 days of horribleness. protip. don't bother with tamiflu!

sorry james, i don't think im gonna be up to the drive really, im knackered as it is.

iv phoned to my doctor about tamiflu, the NHS direct people are saying "you must take them" and he just said its pointless, unless your immune system is weak itl do more harm than good.

cheers steve :) can i carry it forward to the next lan please.

can i also have my usual obscure lan booking requirement met :P

If it helps, when I had swine flu my dad (a GP) won't give me tamiflu, apparently it just f*cks you up. He was either being nice to me and doing his fatherly job or had had enough of me and hoped I'd be one of the few that die. Not sure yet. Either way I survived.

I hear that tamiflu simply reduces the illness by about a day. I would hope to avoid taking it to build up some form of resilience to the flu, having said that I am far from qualified to give myself medical advice.
