Drinking, Sleeping & Poker

Postby mikethegreek » Mon Dec 15, 2008 10:11 pm

After a few problems at the last LAN there are a few things will change for future events.
First of all - do not drink to the point that you throw up. It's not nice for you and other people at the LAN.

The changes are as follows;
- The stage is going to be made in to a sleeping area.
- The servers will be moved and the curtains will be closed.
- The poker table will be set up at the door end of the hall.

This should make a nice place which is quiet and dark for sleeping. If everyone could sleep on the stage rather than around the hall it would be much appreciated. These changes should also keep any loud people away from those who are sleeping (that doesn’t mean you can't make a bit of noise, just think of others).

so can i confirm please Mike.

drinking games ok, so long as we dont get stupidly drunk?

i think that what you are asking for there, and want to do, is a good, and is long overdue, should have been done a while ago

that is fair enough mike, and hopefully that incident last time, was the first and last time it will happen.

Many thanks for being understanding, and many thanks for allowing part of the social / fun parts in the evening to continue

Read you will not be welcome at the next event if you get drunk to the stage that your sick.

In addition, if it happens again we will revisit our decision over drinking games. So if you want this sort of aspect to the event, please make sure that nobody in the group is getting to a stage of being stupidly drunk.

I'd lock this thread to stop the grumbles of the intawebz.

(I am not locking this thread because of possible whiners)
