Thanks to the WestLAN staff for another great LAN. This was my second LAN this year, the first one I went to in February was alittle better as more games was played and some people was plagued with problems this time around.

Anyways thanks again and see you at the next one (if i'm not in the RAF by then)
We got tactical smart missiles, phase-plasma pulse rifles, RPGs, we got sonic electronic ball breakers! We got nukes, we got knives, sharp sticks...

Ahh yes, problems :(

Power failures, Ben and Merson both having to reinstall, FridgeX's and Ricky's PC's fucking up on the last day, that was a bit gay :(

But all in all another good LAN, I enjoyed it and look forward to the next one :)

Thanks guys :)

In fairness, the power problems were limited to one corner. The amount of power availible was the same as any of the other sections (Including staff, with alienX's power hogger and my CRT) and there were not particularly unusual machines in that section - so I think its more likely to be down to somebody with an iffy power supply than any actual capacity issues.
None the less, the next job on the distro board is to split things into smaller zones, which should give better headroom.

Which has been run off different leads and different MCB's each lan.

Somebody has a iffy computer in that corner. Thats all it can be.

This was a great LAN, thanks to Mike and the staff for a reasonably trouble free LAN.

The power-outs are always in that corner, so it's not going to be the DB.

I have 1 tiny whinge too..

Now i know that ya all have ya groups of mates, but ffs, do shout outs or personally invite ppl to play. I saw many small pockets of games going on instead of large populated games.

I heard at least 2 shout outs for games.

The reason I don't bother doing it is because I have done at the previous 2 LAN's, and not a single person from outside our little social group bothered joining.

Thats cos when whenever i came over you guys were already playing a game amongst yourselves. I don't care what happens at previous LANs, you're always going to get a high number in the August/Summer Lan. Fucking shout out.
