tournaments

Postby Neomancer » Thu Jul 10, 2008 10:00 am

hey.

anyone got any requests for which tournaments they would like to see...

just so we can make sure everything is organised...

i'm thinking..

knockout CS, bottom person/bottom 2 people per map get eliminated.

prehaps a big game of sins of a solar empire

flatout 2 ;)

any other ideas/game modes

Don't play any but I'm guessing an rts tourney would go down well, probably forged alliance after everyone playing it last lan.

The same idea for the CS tourney could be done with HL2:DM as well.

whats the max player of that? the other thing is do we have enough people to get a proper competition out of that.. i've only ever really seen a few people play it.. supcom however we'd get enough people in to do a good few rounds of it..

A few rounds could last all of saturday night, like 4 hours or more...

railroads max is 4, and i think there was a good 8 or more of us playing it last lan, so it would have to be a knockout tourni, it would be so funny though, and i think noodle and excal would be up for it.

supcom is a yes as well, though 1 game of supcom could last several hours if it was all very good players in it!

Sounds good to me.

I wonder if we can dig out some prizes again. The trouble with prizes is when people take it a little too seriously. Maybe just a few prizes for those who do well in some big games?

How about the winner is taped to Goose's car, while the rest of us creat an 'obstacle' course and then let Goose loose. No one would dare win. First to kill looses. :)
