Alcohol

Postby Neomancer » Mon Nov 07, 2005 11:49 pm

Ok guys.

its been brought to my attention by the mother of one of our younger attendees that people have been buying them alcohol on request at previous lans.

Not a wise idea.. alcohol laws and such like..

i just know the £1000 fine threat from my time in retail. and that its a offence in the law. and i dont want anyone ruining their lans thinking they are doing anyone a favour..

and the same goes for the under 18 people.. please dont put people in that kinda situation.. its not fair on them

thanks

also there is a new law, that if they sell it to a person underage, or for underage, then £80 on the spot fine for the person that sold it, and £1000 for the company, i think.

i think that if you get it for them then its nothing to do with westlan, also i have to know the laws for licenceing, as i work a bar, so if u want to ask, im sure i can help, as can any others that sell achohol products

Same and it's fun.

So what is the rule , we can't ask 18+ year olds to buy us Drink?

Or Can we bring? eg. our parents bought it but only like a small amount.

If i come to the next one will probaly just bring 8 cans or something as i don't want to get pissed.
