Re: headphones
I'm using Steelseries Siberia v3's which i purchased @ Dreamhack last year.
Pro's:-
Comfortable ears cups which work with the suspension headband have used them for over 8+ hours continuously.
3.5mm jack but comes with adapter for seperate mic and headphone connection.
Built in mute switch in the left earphone.
Great for just throwing in your bag
Also works with mobile phones.
Able to drownout dreamhack music
Cons:-
3.5mm connections required
No USB connectivity
Found them for around £59.99 http://bit.ly/1E05wmx

Re: headphones
Get a decent pair of normal headphones, and a separate mic if you need one. Chances are both will be better.
I adblock smilies.
Re: headphones
HyperX Cloud, best bang for buck headphones going.

Rev 2 is out but that's USB "7.1 surround sound", plus they cost £25 more.

Re: headphones
I'm not the best to give advice here - I buy first and do my research later (if at all)
I have these (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Blaste ... a+3d+recon) which I like very much. There are a much cheaper version available which is here (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Blaste ... T7FAK3BTNZ).
Pros;
Extremely comfortable
Audio quality that I'm happy with, and I play a lot of deep base music
Excellent battery life
Hassle free drivers and compatibility
Cons:
The plastic headband and mount is brittle. Mine cracked, but nothing a little bit of plastic cement cannot fix

Lightweight (can sometimes feel fragile)
Modmic
Pros:

Can be added to any headphones
Dedicated mic
Cons:
Picks up surrounding noises
Sold out in the UK :/
