I seemed to get this problem at the lan, I have tried pushing back in the connections etc.
I have disabled the surge protection in the bios as stated in some forums.
Worried to keep trying things as this is to do with the power.
IS anyone able to take a look, I can bring it over to your location, Im just a newb with this kind of stuff.
Or any suggestions?
Thanks

Get hwinfo, get it to log sensors to file. After a crash, drop the CSV into a spreadsheet and look at what happened just before the crash. If it is the power, it might show up.

Re: PC Power surging and shutting down
When you say surging, what do you mean? Do you get an error, blue screen? What are you doing when it happens?

Re: PC Power surging and shutting down
The asus boot screen was saying that, no blue screen or anything, machine just keeps reseting itself. Sometimes it might last a couple of minutes at best before it resets

Sounds like the sort of thing that would happen if the CPU cooler wasn't seated properly

Re: PC Power surging and shutting down
I guess you've already tried, but have you gone for a bare bones setup yet? Essentially a rebuild to a minimal state. Onboard VGA, no hard drives, 1 stick of RAM, etc.
Past that it would probably be swapping components with known good ones.
