hats back on for westlan for being useless at organizing games, the only game you seemed to organize was RTS games!

Thanks, you make the hours and hours of admin work and server setup which we barely cover expenses on feel so appreciated.

We can't make people play games.

I never said i didnt appriceate it, cause i did very much so. What im trying to say is that all the there was no games organization, last lan it was like, "We are going to play UT silly mods" or "Battlefield 2 if anyone wants to" i didnt see any of that all i heard was "RA2 anyone?" and "Generals?"

Next time i think you should make a list of what games will be played, and then people can play if they wish.

yeah.. i spent bloody ages getting all the servers setup. and games running last lan.. and then people got bored while i organised a match. and half of them left..

you have no idea how many times at lans over the time that i've been staffing.. that we have tried to organise games

* people dont have games installed
* people change their mind
* people are at the shop
* people are playing another game
* people cant be assed

specifing times for matches. never seems to work. as it gets ignored

its so much easier just to give a shout out randomly with a game idea.. and see how many people play.. we had several big CS games. RPG and ut2004 jailbreak + rpg

I organised three large games while I was there. I specifically went round and personally asked anyone that was sat down, so you dont have an excuse if you had your headphones on. I organized the UT2004 instagib CTF and the HL2DM. Hell and I both started a large game of CSS:RPG. I deliberatly used the westlan servers for the sake of them being stable, and virtually lagless.

xorn: You sat in the corner with your headphones on.

We went to the newly opened indian along the main street on the saturday night was a beauty, might have to get a bigger group to head down there next time.

Thanks for staff organising the event.

Guess it's time for my input!

Shame wildcard couldn't come as i'm sure we wudda got ppl playing Ghost Recon :AW. Good to see more ppl at this lan and played some really good games of RA2, UT, and HL2DM.

For those complaining about not being asked about games.. Why don't you go around and ask, cos it always seem to be the same ppl.
