I'll be using my Decades version... which you don't have to fuck about with IPX with Very Happy

Holy crap, I had no idea decades RA2 had tcp/ip support. Pitty they can't do that with RA1.

Nope. I was wrong.

TCP/IP for Tib Sun/Firestorm and RA2, not for RA1 or orig CNC.

If someone has a null modem cable about though...... :P

I've just found a tcp/ip mod for CNC95 multiplayer though.

I'll have it at the LAN if anyone's interested.

Edit: Found instructions how to play CNC95 and RA1 on LAN!

And my iMac doesn't have a serial port anyway...

My point exactly. TCP/IP will be a lot easier, at least you don't have to sit next to eachother

Yeah... I've got CNC working fine over LAN... But RA1 has to be over the internet... We might have to ask for some ports to be opened. Its RA1, it won't be a lot of traffic.

Shouldn't be too problematic to open the ports. Seems odd it needs to be net based.

No. 3.03 was a beta patch... Which was never finished... so EA actually DOWNGRADED the game.

CNC has a 'Network' option... but RA1 doesnt.... Meh.

Needs port 5000 i believe. Might need to do some reading up on it if we decide to play.
